Report on the 77th Independence Day Celebration at Chellammal Women’s College

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at Chellammal Women’s College on 15th August 2024. The event commenced with the rendition of Tamizhthai Vazhthu, setting a solemn and respectful tone for the occasion.
Following this, the honourable Principal Dr. V. Malarvizhi hoisted the national flag, which was greeted with a resounding salute and the collective singing of Kodi Paadal by the attendees, symbolizing national pride and unity. The highlight of the event was the disciplined and spirited march past by the first-year students, displaying their dedication and respect for the nation.
The Principal then addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of independence, the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, and the responsibilities of the younger generation in nation-building. The event continued with a series of cultural performances, including poetry recitations, speeches, and patriotic dance performances by the students, each expressing their deep love and admiration for the country.
Following the cultural segment, a prize distribution ceremony was held to recognize and honour the outstanding contributions of students in various activities. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, appreciating the efforts of all participants, faculty members, and organizers. Finally, the celebration concluded on a patriotic note with the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of unity and pride.
