“Education ‘according to W.B. Yeats’ is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire”. We at Chellammal believe that the educator’s role is not just that of following the set curriculum; moving beyond the set methods of instruction and range of material we strive to tap the innate creative potential of our wards and stimulate their interests in research too.
Development , the watchword of every organization and corporate is considered the need of the twenty-first century and in preparing youngsters to face the future, one has to bear in mind that the real meaning of development could only be the well-being of a society moving towards greater equality and social justice. To this extent, education, if it is not the instrument of change, can at least be the object of change and development. Especially in the education and placement of women in our care, we believe that within the existing academic and technical framework, a small stride can be made to achieve some of the national objectives too making both teachers and students catalysts for social change.
