PLACEMENT CELL – ANNUAL REPORT 2023-2024
A placement cell of our college deserves mention for the constant effort to guide and provide the job placements of the students. The cell was fully functional in the college to make the students utilize their academic qualification and showcase their capabilities in a manner which make them stand out in a competitive scenario.
In a substantial way, career counselling, workshops, training programmes are conducted to assist the students in the development of soft skills and communication ability, to challenge and get rid of the fear of interviews and competitive tests, to facilitate the students to grab the technical inputs shared by the experts and to help them to identify their talents and understand how equipped they are to become the qualified professionals before they finish their dream Degrees.
A few of 2023-2024 activities are as follows:
• BB Academy Private Limited, Chennai – 078 “Way to Win” conducted 3 months free internship with a stipend of Rs.3000 cash per month and internship certificates. 2 students from Advanced Zoology participated and got the prize.
• TITAN Leap in association with Naandi Foundation conducted the online orientation programmes for 3 months from 20th September 2023 to 15th October 2023. From Shift I and Shift II, 195 students have attended the training. Most of the girls had been shortlisted by various companies till date.
• Our college students from Shift I and Shift II participated in 46th All India Tourism and Trade Fair of Tamil Nadu, Island Grounds, Chennai on 8th, 9th and 10th February 2023. More than 80 colleges participated and our college own the FIRST PRIZE in 108 project presentation.
• TVS Training and Services conducted an interview for the position of Personal Banker in ICICI, Axis, KVB on 16th August 2023, 1 student from Shift II (B.Com) got placed.
• On 9th January, 2024, 50 students attended theTN – Global Investors meet in Nadambakkam Trade Fair Center were accompanied by two Placement Co-ordinators from Shift I Dr. K. Chithra Devi and Dr. N. Ramani from Shift II.
• Students from B.Sc Advanced Zoology and Bio Technology, B.Sc Chemistry and B.A English Literature attended the Health Care Orientation session by Valliappa Foundation on 15th February, 2024 at our campus. Out of 139 students, 70 students have been shortlisted for training followed by the assured placement opportunity.
• NaanMudhalvan Statewide Placement Drive Program for the Chennai District conducted by Presidency College on 6th March, 2024. Final year students both from Shift I and Shift II participated and nearly 80 students got their Offer Letters from various companies.
• DATA MARK PRO, US based Health Care Company, Chennai – 058 conducted a virtual interview on 22nd March 2024 in 2 different slots. 171 candidates registered and 58 members participated and out of which 34 students’ shortlisted for next level interview.
• Campus Drive – 2024 was conducted to all the final year students from both Shift I and II on 28th March, 2024. Following 11 companies participated in the interview. Participating companies are

More than 1000 students from both Shift I and Shift II participated on the choice of their own and many are shortlisted for 2nd round and a good number of the students’ were issued their Offer Letters from the company side.
