ECO CLUB ACTIVITIES
Report for the academic year 2021- 2022
- A go green initiative to plant 100 native tree saplings along with HDFC Bank, as a part of their CSR activity was carried out in chellammal women’s college, Guindy, Chennai – 32 on 10.07.2021
2. An online workshop was conducted to introduce about SAP to the inhouse faculty members with Mrs. Tuti Sandhya from MGNCRE hosts the program on 06.08.2021 at 2.00 p.m about 23 staff members were participated in this workshop.
3. A one day online seminar was conducted on national pollution control day on 02.12.2021 at 3.00 p.m. to students and staff members of various colleges. Dr.Samuel Rajasekaran from pollution control board acted as the chair person and spoken on “An overview of the Environmental Legislations”. Around 123 students and staff members were participated and an E- certificate is issued to all the participants.
4. As a part of SAP –PSS (Psychosocial support) activity the team conducted an online seminar on “Manam ennum mandhirakol”with guest speaker Dr.Nappinnai Cheran, Dean Students welfare, Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research University. This program was live telecasted through youtube(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAnMdB58qqNi vsi9JX6VElg ) and around 1035 viewers watched this program on that day.
5. Under this plan an online webinar was conductedon the topic of “Environmental Crisis” on 30.05.2022. Dr.M.Jayakumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Madras acted as the chair person. Around 854 viewed the program through youtube and around 20 staff members attended the program through google meet. E- Certificates were issued to the participants those who filled the feedback form.
