STUDENTS UNION INAUGURATION REPORT 2025- 2026

The Students’ Union Election for the academic year was conducted successfully on 28 August 2025 (Thursday), in a fair and democratic manner. Subsequently, following the declaration of results. The formal constitution of the office bearers, the official inauguration ceremony of the Students’ Union was held on 2.02.2026(Monday).
The inauguration ceremony began with a formal welcome address by Dr. R. Vimala Devi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tamil and Coordinator of the Election Committee. The keynote address was then delivered by Dr. V. Malarvizhi, Principal of Chellammal Women’s College, who extended her congratulations to the newly elected office bearers and appreciated the students for their enthusiastic participation and responsible conduct during the election.
The ceremony was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. V. G. Vijaya Lakshmi, former Principal Chellammal Women’s College, who formally inaugurated the Students’ Union. In her inspiring address, she highlighted the vital role of student leadership in shaping the academic and cultural environment of an institution. She underscored the values of responsibility, accountability, unity, and mutual respect as essential qualities of effective leadership.
Dr.V.G.Vijaya Lakshmi further emphasized the importance of active student participation in academic, co-curricular, and extension activities, noting that such involvement contributes significantly to holistic development. She advised the newly elected office bearers to serve as role models for their peers and to carry out their duties with sincerity, dedication, integrity, and a strong spirit of service, always prioritizing the welfare of the student community and the progress of the institution.
The newly elected union members took the oath of office, pledging to uphold the values of the institution and to work for the welfare of the student community. The oath was administered in the presence of faculty members, administrative staff, and students.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. K.Bhuvaneshwari, Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, acknowledging the presence of the chief guest, management, faculty, and students. The program ended on a positive and inspiring note, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Students’ Union.
The event was a grand success and reflected the spirit of leadership, cooperation, and commitment among the students.
