ACTIVITIES OF ROTARACT 2021-2022

ACADEMIC YEAR 2021-2022
As a non-profit organization, Rotaract clubs provide an opportunity for people between the ages of 18 and 30 to meet and exchange ideas with community leaders, develop leadership skills, and gain valuable experience through community service.
Our college established its first Rotaract club in 2007. As members of Rotaract, our students have actively participated in the village adoption scheme and have provided services to the villagers. They have also participated in programs that have earned a Guinness Record, the Polio Awareness Marathon, and have planted hundreds of trees and plants on and outside the campus. With the support and coordination of ERA, we organized the “Koduthaldhan kondattam” diwali program and provided new clothes and crackers to the poor and downtrodden.
The ERA has contributed Rs. One lakh for the purchase of new books since we lost many books due to floods. As part of their humanitarian efforts, ERA has been donating a substantial amount to our college’s ongoing food project. Economically disadvantaged students of our college are benefited from ERA’s activities. The students involved in our ERA program are not only beneficiaries, but are also taking part in social activities and enriching social movements of our society.
The installation programme of Rotaract Club of Chellammal Women’s College for the academic year 2021-2022 was conducted on 5th October 2021 followed by Book Bank Ceremony and Self-Defence Programme for nearly 500 students, which was enjoyed enthusiastically by all participants.
The Book Bank in college lends textbooks to needy and downtrodden students that they may require for all three years of their academic pursuits. In that installation programme, Rtn. M. Sesha Sai (District Rotaract Committee Chairman 2021-22) and Rtn. P. Vasu (Youth Service Director) have trained nearly 500 students and staff in Physical Self-Defence. This programme has spread more awareness and sentience towards all.
