The department of Computer Science was established in the year 1995 along with the beginning of Chellammal Women’s College as one of the prime self-financing colleges in Guindy under the University of Madras. The department embraces various technical as well as industry obligate courses where the course of BSc. Computer Science was established in 1995. In 2025, the department vitalized itself with BSc in Computer Science with AI. Which reinforced the ideology of the department.
The department is distinguished with quality education and is eminent for various curricular as well as extracurricular activities to make the students explore the fields to its maximum and they could stand out.
