ROTARACT CLUB OF CHELLAMMAL WOMEN\u2019S COLLEGE 2019-20<\/strong><\/div>

As a part of the Rotaract activity, our proactive girls from the Rotaract Club began the year by being a part of the MEGA SEED_BALL festival, an initiative to save rain water held on the 28th of July 2019, at Mar Gregouious College, West Mogappair, Chennai \u2013 600 037.\u00a0\u00a0<\/div>
On the 6th of August 2019, the installation ceremony of Rotaract Club activities was solemnized successfully along with the launch of the innovative 2 $ 2 Drop Project. The occasion was graced by the presence of our beloved Principal Dr V. Kalaivani, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D, our guest for the day Rtn. Mr I.S.K Nasar, Past District Governor 3232 (2018-19), Rtn. D. Devendran, District Rotaract Chairman, Rtn. M. Ambalavanan, District Foundation Chairman, our President Rtn. S. Yuvaraj Sowma, our Secretary Rtn. E.H. Roa, Rtn. Sarvesh Krishna Sunkara, Director Youth Service and our co-ordinator for the year 2019-20 Rtn. Girish and by a number of other active Rotarians (Rtn. Sensi Vasu, Rn. Sensi A. R. Sundar, Rtn. Ragu, Rtn. Chinnasevagan and Rtn. Johnson) . At this juncture, we remember with deep gratitude the generous gesture by the people of HDFC, who donated 100 saplings to our college. We specially thank Mr V. Abdul Hakkim, Deputy Vice President, Branch Head, and Mr. N. Ragu Kumar, Assistant Vice President, Whole Sale Banking Operation, HDFC Bank Ltd who were instrumental in procuring it for us.\u00a0<\/div>
The co-ordinator, Rotaract Club of Chellammal Women\u2019s College along with its dedicated team of committee members worked out on the forthcoming events for the year 2019-20. Following are the projects scheduled to be implemented in the coming year.<\/div>
\u2022 Food project aims at providing lunch for nearly 80 students per day<\/div>
\u2022 Tree planting project \u2013 nearly 250 samplings in Chellammal Women\u2019s College<\/div>
\u2022 Koduthalthan Kondattam \u2013 Deepavali celebration distribution of new clothes<\/div>
\u2022 Our Rotaracts co-ordinators with the consent of our Principal mam planned to collect amount for 2 $ 2 Drops projects<\/div>
\u2022 Spoken English, Motivational and Awareness on Women Rights Classes for students<\/div>
On 15th August 2019, our college students sowed nearly 100 seed flags as a part of Independence Day celebration. The seeds were donated through the parent club of Rotaract through Rtn.
