DEPARTMENT OF ADVANCED ZOOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY
Department of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology organized one day Workshop on “Molecular Techniques in Biotechnology” in collaboration with ARMATS BIOTEK Training and Research Institute (ABTRI), Guindy, Chennai and conducted it successfully on 7 th January 2023 at ABTRI LAB, Guindy, Chennai.
Staffs and students of the Department of Advanced Zoology and Biotechnology have conducted two days intra department competition “ECO FEST – 2023” on 9 th and 10 th January 2023. For this occasion, our Principal In-charge, Dr.V.Mahalakshmi Natchathiram was our Patron, Dr.S.Senthil Kumari, Head of the Department was the Convenor, Staff members were the Organizing Secretaries and our final year students I.Nancy, S.Sneha, P.Sivaganga, E.Tharani and K.Gayathri were the Student Coordinators. Various events were conducted for our department students and prizes were awarded to the winners.
K.Gayathri, of III B.Sc elected as the Home Minister and G.Shalini of second B.Sc deputed as the Deputy Research and Development Minister in the student Union Election.
G.Girija placed First prize in 5000 meters relay in the Intracollegiate Athletics.
In the intercollegiate competition “ZOOSCOPE-2K23” conducted by The New College, chennai, on 7 th March 2023, K.Bhanusri and S.Abitha have won first prize for Fireless Cooking and S.S.Mehbub Shifana and K.Pavithra got Third prize for Vegetable Carving.
